ESMINT 10th edition, promoting education and improving communication

It is the twilight of summer and most tourists have left the French Riviera: the temperature is ideal, the amazing panorama and the magic moments of Nice in September have arrived!

- And ESMINT`s 10th edition will be taking place! -

The world of Interventional Neuroradiology along with Vascular Neurology and Neurosurgery will converge on Nice from 6-8 September 2018 for the Annual ESMINT Meeting taking place at the Acropolis Convention Centre.

Already 10 years old! And we witness how interest grows, not only in ESMINT itself, but in the range of topics that were covered. In 2009, there was a feeling in the air that we were at the beginning of one of the fastest periods of evolution of our specialty. We have spent years establishing the foundations, and now, with the plethora of recently published trials, especially in the domain of stroke, there is an increasing interest on the part of medical professionals and general public. This seems to vindicate the direction we have taken over the last decade. While this is certainly true, we are now faced with one of our greatest challenges: the need to offer the highest quality of very complex treatments to an increasing number of patients while at the same time meeting the needs of a society that is more and more demanding in terms of evidence, data, results and costs.

Each year our meeting gains in maturity and experience, and the 10th edition promises to provide you with the kind of information and education you need to evolve in your practice. This year at ESMINT Nice, we have an exceptional line-up of Pro’s and Con’s debates, teasing discussions between different specialists with different backgrounds and different ways of thinking, as well with your best clinical cases – submitted by you and chosen by our scientific committee.
During the past 10 years, our industry partners were very much present at ESMINT, listening to our unmet needs and trying to respond. We are proud of the collaboration we have built together.
It is clear that there is an essential and deeply interactive relationship between clinical practice and research; a relationship that arises from our commitment to constantly ensure that theories, innovations and clinical experience are constantly tested one against the other in order to prove they have a valid impact on the quality of care we offer our patients.

Interaction between speakers and the audience will once again be a key feature of the meeting, with open discussions aimed at better understanding the disease processes and available therapeutic options.
Your presence and participation will, as always, be the key in our work, and we look forward to seeing you on the French Riviera!
